Custom Design Terms of Use

Dani's Custom Design Terms of Use

UPDATE: I have recently quit blogging. Read my post HERE to learn more.

       Waiting List
  • Once you submit your Custom Design Request Form, you will be placed on my waiting list. The order of the list is first come, first serve.
  •  Once you reach the top of the waiting list, I will send you an invoice for the full price of the design.  Once I send you the invoice, you have 24 hours to pay or you will be moved down one spot on the waiting list. I will not begin your design until full payment is made.
  •  No refunds. If you have price or payment questions, please email me at blogdesignsbydani{at}gmail.com.

      The Process
  • You agree to respond to emails on a regular basis (at least once a day) during the design process.
  • You are given 2 revisions per design item. Additional revisions can be made for an extra fee.
  •  You must choose a digital scrap kit from one of the approved designers and pay any extra fees associated with the kit you choose. If you have a designer you would like to purchase a kit from that is not on the approved list, you must first email me the designer's contact information and the exact link to the kit so that I can request permission. This must be done before the Custom Design Request Form is submitted. There may be additional costs for kits from other designers that you will be required to pay.
  •  If you would like a custom font, you will be required to set up a free Webs.com account in your name. You will not set up the account until I give you instructions to do so. If you already having a hosting service for your own personal website, you can use that instead.
  •  You must have a Photobucket Account set up in your name before the design process can begin. The free account is all you need. All the images in your design will be uploaded to your account. If you don't know how to set one up, I will provide instructions for you. Or if you already having a hosting service for your own personal website, you can use that instead. If you choose to use Photobucket, you may be required to upgrade to a Pro Account in the future if you exceed the bandwidth allotted to their free accounts. This will happen for blogs that receive a large amount of traffic.
  •  When you give me access to your Photobucket account and/or Webs.com account, it is your responsibility to change the password before I begin and after I am done. I am not responsible for any damages that result from giving me access to your account in this way.
  • To install the design onto your blog you will need to add me as an Author and then as an Administrator. I will give instructions on how to do this if needed. Do NOT give me your login and password.

      The Design
  • After completion and installation of the design, no additions or modifications of any kind may be made to the design by you or anyone else except the addition or removal of sidebar gadgets. This includes but is not limited to changes to the html and/or css and/or any images that are part of the design. No additional graphics/images may be added to the design.  If any part of the design is changed, the whole design must be removed.
  • No part of this design, including the html and css, may be shared with anyone for any reason.
  • You may not claim any part of this design as your own.
  • You may not use any part of this design for profit in any way.
  • Once your design is complete and installed on your blog, you agree to keep the links to my website and the designer's website until your design is completely removed. You must also keep my button on your sidebar.
  • Either a screen shot, your header, your blog button or a combination of any of these will be placed either in my portfolio, my sidebar or both with a link to your blog. If you do not want any of these images linked to your blog, please let me know.
  • Although I do not expect any of the information on your blog, including your sidebar widgets, to be lost, you are responsible for backing up your blog template and widgets before I begin your design. I will not be responsible for any damage or loss to your blog resulting from installing the design on your blog.

     Support
  • Following the completion of the design, I will remove myself as an administrator and author on your blog. This means I will no longer be able to make any modifications.
  • If you have further questions about your blog, I can provide assistance for up to 1 hour in the first 60 days following the completion of your design. Any further assistance will be charged. If you need help that requires me to become an administrator again and make the changes myself, you will be required to pay an hourly fee.
  • In the event that I am added as an administrator for your blog for the purpose of altering code, adding/moving gadgets, or any other help that is requested, you take full responsibility for backing up your blog template and widgets before I begin your design. Although I do not expect any of the information on your blog, including your sidebar widgets, to be lost, I am not responsible for any damage or loss to your blog resulting from the work I do on your blog.

     My Terms
  • I refuse to design any blog that contains material that is illegal, pornographic, or otherwise offensive to me or anyone else. This includes excessive bad language.
  • I am a stay-at-home mom which means my work time is limited. If home and family issues  arise, your blog design will take a back seat until those needs are taken care of.
  • I don't work on Sunday. I don't even check my email.
